The Pomona gold show went very smoothlly. Friday we had 10 members to help set up the event. Saturday we had 15 members to help run our booth and help GPAA out. Sunday we ahd 11 members to help run our booth and help GPAA out plus break down the event. Thanks to all of those that helped us out especilly those that worked all 3 days, thanks so so much. I had talked to Adem Garrett on the phone a while back and suggested he go to the Pomona Gols Show, well he did and he signed up with AuMP while he was there.

AuMP ran the speed panning contest, to see how fast a partisapant could pan out 3 nuggets. Tom Massie @ 6.59 + a 5 second penelity = 11.59 seconds for droping 1 nugget back into the pan and, son Kale @ 21.82 seconds thay were just doing a demostration. Saturday we had 15 partisapants, the 1st & 2nd place winners were Jack Tucker @ 7.99 seconds & Danny Moore @ 11.70 seconds. Sunday we had 16 partisapants and the 1st & 2nd place winners were Steven Gessler @ 7.01 seconds & Jack Tucker @ 7.55 seconds. There was a $5 fee to enter, 2nd place got $10 and 1st got the balance of the funds tacken in.

The  event started off much like the Pomona show, with a bang. Our ticket sales
were really great thanks to a new member was pushing to get people to buy our tickets for the 1/4 oz gold nugget. Even after covering our cost Richard Root was able to put $750 in the chapter account

We just finished this event with very little activity around the area we were assigned. If the chapter decides to attend this event next year, we will be assigned  a different location. After setting up we told this is the kids area. We need to be in the adult area and cater to the kids.

We had 7 members to help  run our panning booth, chapter fliers and we also had our chapter Gold Dirt Bags for sale. The turn out was a little on the light side and we were unable to cover the cost of the booth space. All in All we all had a great time.

AuMP had a panning booth and handed out chapter information at this event. There was a good flow of  people and a lot of  them were interested in the chapter. We are still waiting for pic from this event.
